The Shafter- Wasco landfill is holding a free household hazardous waste collection event Saturday, August 8th.  Event is being held from 9am - 12pm. Location is 17621 Scofield Rd. Shafter. 

Keep California Beautiful welcomes you to the K- 12 Recycle Challange. The California Recycling Challenge is a friendly competition and benchmarking tool for K-12 school recycling programs to promote waste reduction activities to their school communities. 

Beginning this week, your scheduled pickup day for recycle will now be on Wednesday. First pick up day will be Wednesday, November 6 and be picked up every other Wednesday.

Please review the map for the areas affected and will be receiving new trash carts. 

Wasco is offering a communtiy clean- up and drop off event for all your bulky waste at NO COST! Bring in your old couches, dressers, electonics, mattresses, and tires. 

The City of Shafter is holding a bulky drop off event Saturday, October 12th from 9am - 12pm. Bring all your unwanted bulk items for free.
